Since when did Seattle Yachts acquire Tartan and Legacy?

When did this happen? I might have missed this. I'm pretty happy with my Tartan 465 and I got it from somewhere else but it would have been nice to get it from the trusted Seattle Yachts. Browsing the site now and having the most fun.

It happened in 2020. Tartan was drowning at the time and since Seattle Yacks already was already a dealer, it was a good business opportunity. This is why the relocated to Ohio and if you ask me it was a good thing they did, keeping the name alive.

Ah thanks, I really missed it as I was kind of sulking in FOMO during COVID and really ignoring everyone and every news except COVID related ones.

Even though you got your Tartan 465 elsewhere, Seattle Yachts is now the official place for those brands. Its cool you're having fun browsing their site, definitely a good resource if you want to check out more or think about upgrades down the road

Bummer to miss out on buying directly from Seattle Yachts yeah, especially when you're happy with your Tartan 465. Sometimes these things happen quietly or with little fanfare, so it's easy to miss the news. Glad you're having fun browsing their site though! Have you checked if they still offer support or parts for your model?
